Could 4, 2023: Indian recycler Lohum stated on Could 2 that it has teamed up with insurer ACKO for what the businesses say is a pioneering EV battery guarantee insurance coverage partnership.
Lohum stated the transfer will pave the best way for future partnerships with OEMs that can launch “battery buy merchandise” and enhance automobile gross sales worth.
The collaboration can even profit EV battery OEMs who have already got merchandise underwritten by ACKO.
Underneath the partnership, ACKO will proceed to offer efficiency guarantee insurance coverage for EV batteries to many OEMs and “provide hassle-free redressal” in case of performance-related points.
In the meantime, Lohum will endeavor to gather, repurpose, and recycle the used batteries returned because of this.
