RANTOUL — A Rantoul Township Excessive Faculty board committee will hear a presentation that might result in the development of a solar-energy challenge on the college.
Superintendent Scott Amerio mentioned the committee will meet Thursday with an organization that can make a proper presentation on the $970,000 challenge.
At its Dec. 12 assembly, the board heard a much less formal presentation of the challenge, however members had some questions, together with whether or not the district’s insurance coverage service would cowl it.
If authorized, the photo voltaic gear will probably be positioned on the east aspect of the varsity.
Along with the photo voltaic panels, the challenge will embody the set up of a membrane over the present roof.
