Damodar Valley Corp. (DVC) has recognized 2 GW of floating photo voltaic potential within the reservoirs of its Maithon, Panchet, Tilaiya and Konar dams within the Indian state of Jharkhand.
The state-owned firm has sought approval from India’s Ministry of New and Renewable Vitality to put in capability below the Extremely Mega Renewable Vitality Energy Parks (UMREPP) scheme. DVC has already bought approval for 990 MW of two GW from the ministry. It would quickly enhance a few of that 990 MW, based on a DVC official.
The capability shall be constructed on three reservoirs and is prone to be situated in a three way partnership with NTPC Renewable Vitality Ltd.
